이런 저런 물품으로 여러 mail order shop에서 주문을 해봤지요. ^^
Supergo, coloradocyclist, performance bike, jenson USA,
actionwheels 에서 주문을 하고 물건을 받아봤습니다.
한국에서 주문하고 받아본 곳은 supergo 였습니다.

일단 미국내에서의 의견은 coloradocyclist가 가장 서비스 및 배달이
확실하다고들 하더군요.
포장의 상태는 colorado cyclist 와 jenson USA가 가장 좋았습니다.
배송의 확인은 jenson USA가 가장 좋습니다. 바로 internet site에서
user ID로 언제든 확인이 가능하도록 되어있죠.

다들 큰 가게들이라 언제 받아도 물건은 받을 수 있을 겁니다. ^^
그런데 경험한 바에 의하면 이상하게 카드 결재 때문에 자주 오더가
processing이 안되고 hold가 되더군요. 빠이어님도 이런 말씀을
하신것 같구요. 저도 출장때 주문했을때 한번 빼고 모두 카드 결재
때문에 hold된 경험이 있습니다. 대부분 결재회사의 주소와 본인이
기재한 billing address가 서로 다르게 되어 있어 그렇다고 하더군요.
가장 좋은 방법은 카드사에 billing address가 현재 어떻게 기재되었
는지를 물어보고 그 address를 사용하는 것이 좋을 겁니다.
또한 어떠한 mail order shop이라도 전화를 걸어 상태를 물어보는 것이
가장 확실한 trace 방법입니다. 저도 order하고 나면 전화 무진장 많이
했었습니다. 그리고 전화하면 반드시 대화한 점원의 이름을 기록해
두고 계속 전화해야 할 일이 생기면 이 점원을 찾아서 이야기를 하는게
도움이 많이 됩니다. 대부분은 여기까지 하고 나면 물건을 받을 수
있습니다. 아직 주문하고 받는데까지 좀 짜증나는 부분이 분명히 있다고
생각이 듭니다만 약간 고생좀하고 많이 싸게 사면 좋~잖아요. ^^

여기까지 했는데도 여러가지 문제가 발생하면, 예를 들어 보냈다고
하는데 물건이 오지 않는 경우 등, 바로 전화를 해야 합니다. 미국내
가게 점원들은 거의 로보트 수준이라 규칙으로 나와 있는 것 이외에는
자기가 처리할 수 있는 게 없습니다. 몇마디 해서 못알아 들으면 바로
*supervisor*를 찾아야 합니다. 그리고 찾을 때 상대방 점원의 이름을
물어보고 확인하도록 합니다. 이렇게 하면 그 넘이 뻥을 친다거나,
무성의했다든지 하는 내용을 supervisor에게 확실히 이야기 할 수 있기
때문에 이름을 물어보고, 다음으로 supervisor를 찾으면 이 넘들 많이
쫄아듭니다. 아시다시피 미국은 해고를 잘 하잖아요. ^^

Supervisor에게 문제를 이야기하면 대부분의 경우 아주 쉽게 덤까지
받아가면서 문제를 해결할 수도 있습니다. 제생각인데 일단 supervisor
들은 월급이 비싸기 때문에 해고 당하는 걸 점원보다 훨씬 싫어할 것이
고, 따라서 아주 신중하게 확실하게 일을 처리해 주는 것 같습니다.
예를 들어 무슨 문제가 있어 전화를 많이 했는데 국제 전화였다, 그러면
전화 내역서를 복사해서 보내면 이 돈을 빼 줍니다. 또 물건이 규칙보다
훨씬 늦게 왔다 그러면 배달료를 환불해 달라고 해도 됩니다. 그러면
빼줍니다. 이런 권리를 여러가지 문제로 쉽게 포기해서 그렇지 따지고
들기 시작하면 우리나라보다도 이런 것 훨씬 잘 보상 받을 수 있는
곳이 미국이라는 생각이 듭니다. 하지만 가만 있으면 절대로 이런 것
알아서 해주지 않지요. 이상하다 싶으면 바로 따져야 합니다.

이정도 까지만 하면 주문해서 물건 받는 것 확실하게 할 수 있지요. ^^

해보면 해볼수록 늡니다. 많이 많이 해보세요~ ^^
