Here are some more New Zealand photos.

New Zealand sunsets are often like this.

Quite smooth and easy singletrack near Nelson.

A long but relaxed ride up farm roads to the top of Takaka hill. You can see Golden Bay in the distance.

This track was fantastic. Unfortunately my camera had a problem so I took very few photos. This was an easy part of the track. A lot of it was very technical with lots of rocks, moss, lichen and roots. We had to walk a lot of it (600 year old trees have very big roots).

This is a typical tramping hut. I was happy to see it because the weather was getting cold and wet.

Even in summer New Zealand's weather can sometimes become very cold and unpleasant, particularly on mountains. Riders always have to take extra clothing.

This was another ride, not far from Blenheim.
![](http://www.wildbike.co.kr/cgi-bin/data/PdsLinkPhoto/2006_1_6_006_dominic_smooth_track.jpg)
The track started quite smoothly. But the climb was very long and became quite technical.

Dominic tried my bike. I think he liked it.

The trees are quite small in this forest because it was all burned down a long time ago by European settlers. A lot of New Zealand's coastal forest is regenerating.

A photo taken after I finished my ride.
From my experience so far, I think a lot of New Zealand singletrack is similar to Korean tracks. But the mountains are bigger so the climbs are much longer and more exhausting. The people I am riding with are also very strong and fit riders, and I sometimes really miss my Kona hardtail.
I love the diffcult riding, the fresh air and scenery. I'm disappointed about my recent camera problems though, because I missed the opportunity to take photos in the most beautiful forest I have ever ridden in. I will go there again soon
