The machinists are reviewing the CAD drawing to ensure that they have the equipment necessary to meet the frame's special needs. Since every frame is custom made, every tube set differs, and so do its machining requirements. Machine cutters, feeds, speeds, and even cutting oils must be ready and in place before they can begin to build. In addition to its tubes, your frame requires a number of small parts, which the machinists are now assembling and machining as necessary to fit your custom tubes. These include the dropouts, bridges, cable stops, and any custom options like rack mounts and disk brake mounts. Also, our machinists are completing the final tube preparation. They recheck the tubes both visually and with a micrometer to ensure that the butts are within Seven's tight tolerances, accurate to 0.001". Your tube set is now ready for additional machining.
